ADVERTISEMENT FOR HEADTEACHER, MODERN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MAMBO

Modern Elementary School in Freetown intends to recruit a Headteacher for its campus at Mambo, situated between Hamilton and Mile 13 in the western Rural District. The school was established three years ago as a branch of the well-established school in Freetown to cater for the needs of students in the far western outskirts of the city. It has, since its inception grown to have a student roll of about 150 which is projected to grow to 200 by the next academic year and expand even further in ensuing years. Classes currently range from pre-school to class 6, with the school expected to transition into having a junior Secondary school wing next year.

The Head teacher will be supported by competent teachers and ancillary staff and will report to the Administrator. The Head teacher will operate independently from the assigned campus with the responsibility of improving the high standards already set and also spearheading the transitioning  process to a Secondary school.

Applicants should have requisite teaching qualifications and must have been involved in the management of a similar instruction/organization for at least four years. We are looking for an ideal candidate who will meet the following other criteria:

Proven leadership, managerial and interpersonal skills

Ability to carry out strategic and long term planning

Ability to work independently
