The Captain for Mighty Blackpool Idrissa Sesay has said that since he took over Blackpool as the captain they have never won the league. He went on that the cause for the poor performance is due to the infighting between past executive members and the present members.

This he said has divided the fans as some are in support of the past executive while some are with the new executive. The worst of it all he said those who were with the past executive hardly wished well for the team. There has been confusion between them even at the training ground which he said obstructs their trainings. This thing has gone for long time with the executive changing coaches but still no changes in the team’s performance. In the field of play he said instead of the fans cheering them they boo at them whenever playing matches. This he said killed their spirit during matches. In the last premier league which was obstructed by the Coronavirus outbreak, Blackpool was in the relegation zone from the start of league onto the time it was stopped. Some fans even said it was a blessing in disguise for Blackpool because if the league would have continued they would have been relegated for the first time since they were promoted to the top tier league. Idrissa though said if they decide to unite Blackpool will return to be among the top three clubs in the premier league. Very recently a new executive has taken over the club and sources claim the fan club is now registering members to raise funds for the club. The new executive is also preparing to look for star players for the club. According to history Blackpool is the only club in Sierra Leone that has gone onto the stage of quarter-final in the CAF Club Champions league. Their performance during the 80s and onto the 90s led them to be nicknamed the Tiss-Tass Boys for their short passes and ball possession.
