Executive members of the Central One Football Association (COFA) in a meeting held few weeks ago have decided to let their former Secretary General Philipson Cline-Cole head the association as the Acting Chairman.
COFA lost their former Chairman Late Sammah Sesay few months back after few weeks of illness. The association decided to meet after the 40th day ceremony of the late Chairman to fill the gap left behind.
In the meeting, sources stated that they unanimously decided to let their long serving Secretary General Cline-Cole serves as the acting chairman and put modalities in place, while waiting to kick-off their leagues.
Cline-Cole told SALONE TIMES Sports that their immediate target is to renovate the Parade field. The renovation, he said will involve repairing the perimeter fence, the pitch and the presidential stand.
Apart from Cline-Cole, the former organizing Secretary Yapo Sillah was appointed to deputize Cline-Cole and Abdul Fofanah was retained as the Financial Secretary of the association.
They are also now working on forming committees like appeals committee and disciplinary committee to help run their leagues. Cline-Cole has called on business houses and individuals to help them with finance to enable them undergo the above activities.
