The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority has allocated funds in its 2026 budget for the procurement of Distribution Network Materials and now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of:
(DISTRIBUTION NETWORK MATERIALS ON FRAMEWORK BASIS)
- Circuit Breakers
- LV Overhead Line Feeders
- MV overhead Materials
- 11KV OHL Conductors
- RMU Switchgears
- Copper and Aluminium Cables
- Underground Materials
- Distribution Transformers, etc.
Details on the above is more specified in Section VI &VII Schedule of Requirement and Technical Specifications respectively in the Bidding Document.
Bidding is open to all suppliers who can demonstrate the ability and capacity to supply the required goods within the stipulated time frame. The successful bidder(s) will be required to
sign a Framework Contract which will last for one year from Contract signed date for the goods indicated in the schedule for requirement.
A framework contract is one which is adopted by a purchaser:
- Where the items are needed “On Call’’ but where the quantity and timing of the requirement cannot be defined precisely in advance; or
- To reduce lead times for items which are needed repeatedly or continuously over a period of time, by having them available on a ‘’Call Off’’ basis.
Payment under this contract shall be for actual quantity delivered using the fixed unit prices specified in your bidding document.

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12:00 hours on Tuesday 9th June 2026.
All bids must be accompanied by:
A valid Business registration certificate
- Bid Security of SLL 1,000,000 (One Million Leones) from a reputable Commercial Bank.
- A valid NRA tax clearance Certificate.
- A valid NASSIT clearance Certificate.
- A Valid Municipality/City Council Licenses
- NPPA’s Suppliers Registration Certificate
- A signed and Stamped Integrity Pact; [see attached]
- Evidence of similar contract
- Audited Financial statement for the past Two years
- Manufacturer Authorisation
Bids will be publicly opened on Tuesday 9th June 2026 at 12:00 noon, in the presence of the bidders designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below. Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened to bidders.
