Allied Mobility has been officially named as the Accessibility Partner for the upcoming Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The company, which manufactures wheelchair-accessible vehicles, will support para-athletes during the Games scheduled to run from 23rd July to 2nd August 2026. The partnership was announced on Wednesday, 20th May 2026, at Scotstoun Stadium, one of the Games venues.

Present at the announcement were Allied Mobility Chairman Gerry Facenna, the Managing Director, and the Chief Operating Officer of the Glasgow Games. They were joined by Sean Frame, a Commonwealth Games silver medalist, who will compete for Scotland in the T54 1500m event.

Sean Frame expressed his appreciation for the partnership, describing Allied Mobility’s involvement as “absolutely amazing.” He noted that the support for disabled athletes would be invaluable, making transportation easier and less stressful.

He added that the accessible vehicles would allow athletes to transfer more comfortably compared to regular cars, making travel between venues more relaxing and enjoyable. Frame also expressed pride in representing Scotland for the second time, especially in his home city of Glasgow.

Allied Mobility’s support is expected to play a key role in delivering what is set to be the largest para-sport programme in the history of the Commonwealth Games. The company will also fund dedicated signage to highlight accessible routes to spectator areas.
