The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) few days ago disburses the FIFA $1.3M COVID 19 Relief fund to their partners in the development of the game.

In the disbursement at the Atlantic Hall Siaka Steven Stadium, the FA disbursed Le200M to the premier league board. Other disbursements were done to the provincial FAs, District FAs, the media and several others.

After the disbursement program, the Premier League Board Chairman Alie Vandi Koroma told the media that the amount is a big boost to kick-off the next league.

He though said they still need help from the government like before. The chairman went on that he is happy the clubs too now have some money to start the preparation for the next league.

In this case, he said clubs will not at this time look to the board to start preparations for the game. The young Lawyer though said he doesn’t know yet if he will still remain as the chairman of the board.

But in a meeting few days back, representatives of the premier league unanimously support him to remain as premier league chairman. The reason they gave was that he was hard working and his duty was obstructed by the Coronavirus outbreak which brought the league to an abrupt end.
