Goalkeeper Escapes Mob Justice

A youth, Ibrahim Alhaji Kamara, has disappeared because of the death of another youth whom Ibrahim is accused of hitting during an inter-village football match played 25th November2020, the youth dying shortly after the match came to an abrupt end.

According to spectators, Ibrahim was the goalkeeper representing the village soccer team of his mother’s village of Maroka in Port Loko District- North of Sierra Leone. It is reported that with outstretched hands he collided with a player in the opposing team, causing the player to fell unconscious; and the player was later confirmed dead by a nurse to whom he was taken for treatment.

They said that because of the death of the youth, some members of his family, friends and some people were all over the village searching for the goalkeeper to avenge the death of their loved one- the only son in their family; but the goalkeeper managed to escape mob justice and has not been seen in the village after the football match that ended abruptly.

Since Ibrahim escaped mob justice, he has not been seen.
