I Will Fix Perennial Problems In Freetown …Mohamed Gento Kamara

The Mayoral candidate for the ruling Sierra Leone People Party Mohamed Gento Kamara has promised Freetonians  that he will fix the perennial problem of water shortage,  Poor drainages, transportation education among others  if voted for as Mayor of Freetown City Council. He said this in an interview with the media. ‘’We need to vote people who have good relationships with the people in Freetown and I have built that good relationship with people in all facets of life over the years’’, he said.

He cited the beautiful topography of the city and promised to make use of the water catchment areas and fix water problem in Freetown. Many of our young girls got pregnant and are out of schools because of water scarcity in the capital, he noted.

Gento further promised to create avenue for revenue collection adding that it will help the council to independently embark on development activities in the city. ’’I will not entirely depend on central government to solve the problem of electricity, water, transportation, good medical facilities among others’’, he said. He assured the public that he will reach out to people who have the resources in providing solutions to the existing problems in the city. As a successful businessman, I know how to get to finances in and out of the country,” he said.  Gento also promised to promote local content adding that he has built the trust over the years and he has been the front runner in promoting local content.

He continued that he will build decent markets and move business people from the streets of Freetown.

He called on citizens to vote people base on competence and not by tribe adding that personality and competence should be considered in making political decision.

Gento further promised to improve quality in Municipal or government schools in the city noting that standards have fallen in municipal schools. I will ensure quality delivery in government hospitals as well.

He reiterated that he will review the local government Act in order to ensure quality delivery in the capital.
