Capt. Fabjanko Kokan Crowned “Komrabai Kawaleh Kokan The 1st” in Sanda Taindaren

The Regional Director of Africa Global Logistics (AGL), Capt. Fabjanko Kokan, has been crowned “Capt. Fabjanko Komrabai Kawaleh Kokan the 1st” by residents of Menthagba Village in the Sanda Taindaren Chiefdom, Karene District.

The historic crowning ceremony took place during the official opening of the Freetown Terminal Limited Primary School in Menthagba Village, an event that drew traditional authorities, community stakeholders, and residents from across the chiefdom.

The ceremony was led by Paramount Chief Sheikh Abdulrahman Bangura-Kafoir alongside several traditional leaders, who described the occasion as a significant milestone for the development of the community.

According to community leaders, the honour was bestowed on Capt. Kokan in recognition of his outstanding contributions toward human development, particularly his commitment to advancing education and supporting community empowerment initiatives in the district.

Paramount Chief Sheikh Abdulrahman Bangura-Kafoir praised Capt. Kokan for his spirit of teamwork and dedication to improving the lives of people both within and outside Freetown. He noted that such efforts continue to inspire growth and unity across communities.

Speaking during the ceremony, Capt. Fabjanko Komrabai Kawaleh Kokan I described the opening of the school as the fulfillment of a long-held dream aimed at creating a centre for knowledge, creativity, and character development for children in the area.

“We are not just opening a building; we are opening hope for future generations,” he stated.

He emphasized that education remains the most powerful tool for shaping the future, stressing that while wealth and material possessions may fade, education remains permanent and transformative.

Capt. Kokan also expressed appreciation to his team and project partners for their dedication and support throughout the implementation of the project. He explained that the mission of the school is to empower children to think critically, act responsibly, and innovate for the future while combining academic excellence with personal development.

He further encouraged pupils and community members to protect and preserve the school so that it can continue to serve future generations.

The opening of the Freetown Terminal Limited Primary School is expected to improve access to quality education for children in Menthagba Village and surrounding communities, reinforcing ongoing efforts to promote sustainable development in Karene District.
