Sierra Leone’s Senior Men’s National Cricket Team, known as the Senior Men’s Patriots, will face host nation Botswana on Saturday at the BCA 2 Oval in Gaborone.
The delegation departed Sierra Leone on Tuesday with a 15-man team comprising 12 players, a head coach, a team manager, and one board member. The tournament features seven countries competing in a round-robin format, with each team playing six matches. The top two teams will qualify for the next stage of the ICC Senior Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier.
Participating countries are expected to arrive today, with practice sessions scheduled for tomorrow at both ovals. Captains will hold a photo session, while captains and team managers will also attend a press briefing on the same day.
The tournament will officially kick off with Sierra Leone taking on Botswana at BCA 2 in the afternoon in Gaborone. Earlier in the day, Rwanda will face Cameroon at BCA 1, while Kenya will take on Mali at BCA 2.
On Sunday, Sierra Leone will battle Cameroon in the morning at BCA 2 Oval. The team will rest on Monday before resuming action on Tuesday afternoon at the same venue. All participating teams will rest on Wednesday before matches resume on Thursday, 28th May 2026, with Sierra Leone facing Rwanda at BCA 2 in the morning.
Sierra Leone will then play Ivory Coast on Friday, 29th May 2026, at BCA 2 Oval in the morning, before concluding their group matches against Mali on Saturday, 30th May 2026, at BCA 1 in the morning. The tournament will end on Sunday, 31st May 2026, with the presentation of trophies and medals before teams depart.
