East End Lions FC and Anti-Drugs FC were the two clubs that nominated Isha Johansen in 2013 to become the FA President in Sierra Leone.

Their decision was against 70% of the football delegates that year as they don’t believe in her to be the best person to rule football.

Notwithstanding, Isha went unopposed while all other candidates for the post of presidency were disqualified.

Few years after the election, the chairman of Anti-Drugs FC Late Alhaji Alim Awoko Sesay who was also a former Lions chairman had problems with Isha.

Few months later the former chairman of East End Lions Sanusi Budski also had problem with her (Isha Johansen) and decided to contest with her.

His decision was supported by majority of the football members as they think the FA president was not running football the way it should be and that she was not following the constitution of the game.

Rodney Michael at that time, gave his full support to Sanusi and decided that he will step down for him as they were all fighting the same cause.

After the general election in the country, Sanusi went out of the country and has not returned yet. In his absence, East End Lions appointed his Deputy Chairman Junior Navo as the Chairman of the club.

On the last day of the nomination of candidates for the SLFA election, football members saw the Chairman of East End Tigers Victor Lewis nominating Junior Navo for the post of 1st Vice President of the FA and sources stated he (NAVO) is in the Isha Johansen’s camp.

In this case, most football fans have concluded that whenever Rodney comes up for the top position in the FA, Lions FC will go the other way.

It is believed that most Lions supporters are not in favor of their chairman’s decision but there is little to do about it now.

Few years back, Lions was banned by CAF for failing to take part in a competition they registered for, which they blame the present FA for miscommunication.
