The Minister Of Mines And Mineral Resources Julius D. Mattai signed Memorandum Of Understanding (Mou) between the Government Of Sierra Leone snd International Resources Holding RSC Ltd, marking a significant step toward strengthening investment and responsible development in Sierra Leone’s Mining Sector.
The agreement was signed on the margins Of the World Governments Summit in Dubai, where Sierra Leone is participating alongside Global Leaders, Policymakers, And Private Sector, under the theme “Shaping Future Governments.”
The MOU underscores Sierra Leone’s commitment to transparent, sustainable, And value-driven mineral resource management, while creating opportunities for foreign direct Investment, technology transfer, and local capacity building with in the mining industry
Speaking after the signing, Minister Mattai reaffirmed the government’s resolve to ensure that Sierra Leone’s vast mineral wealth translates into inclusive economic growth, job creation, and long-term national development, in line with President Bio’s big five game changers agenda.
The partnership with International Resources Holding RSC Ltd is expected to explore avenues for cooperation in mineral exploration, development, and downstream value addition, while adhering to international best practices in environmental protection and community engagement.
