Coach Mumini Macauley, who has served as a former manager of several non-division sides including Med-Man’s Football Club and Eastern Eagles FC, is currently making headlines in various inter-community leagues across the city.

The renowned coach is presently the head coach of the Kossoh Tong Community Football Team, which recently played in the grand final of the Attouga Mini Stadium Inter-Areas Annual League against the Fisheries Community Team. The match was held on Sunday, 22nd March 2026, at the Approved School field one of the best artificial turf pitches within the Wellington community. The game ended in controversy, with tensions rising and eventually escalating into a chaotic scene involving supporters, players, and match officials.

Coach Macauley is widely known for his outstanding sportsmanship and holds a CAF License C coaching certificate. He previously served as head coach of Eastern Rangers FC for over a year before resigning due to poor management.

“At one point, I was away from the touchline for about a year as a result of losing my wife, which affected me greatly,” he said.

Reflecting on his journey, he added, “I officially started my coaching career in the Fourah Bay community, working with young players at the Attouga and Fourah Bay community fields. It has always been about passion and commitment.”

Coach Macauley also noted that he is one of the longest-serving coaches of the Kossoh Tong Community Football Team. “I was first invited as an assistant manager and later rose to become the head coach, except for last season,” he explained.

“I am very proud of the Kossoh Tong Community team, management, and supporters. They have provided me with all the necessary support to achieve my dreams. Football is my livelihood,” he stated.

He further highlighted some of his achievements: “I have previously won back-to-back trophies with Eastern Eagles and also with ‘Grap Go Fen Am’ in the Bay Inter-Community League, among others.”

He also mentioned his recent involvement with the Peninsular Panthers as part of his growing coaching journey.

Meanwhile, Coach Macauley is the current champion of the Friends of Attouga Mini Stadium Inter-Areas 2025/26 League Season.
