The Secretary General of Kossoh Tong Community Football Club, Sheku Iffren Godson Kamara, popularly known as “LA,” has expressed strong optimism about the club’s chances of retaining their league title in the upcoming FAMSO Inter-Area 2026/27 season.

Speaking to the press, Kamara stated that the team has what it takes to maintain its status as league champions under his second season of service.

“We have everything it takes to continue our league success,” he said. “As the chief administrator, compliance officer, and a bridge between the club executives, technical team, and players, I am committed to ensuring the team remains competitive.”

He emphasized his responsibility in strengthening the club’s off-pitch structure to support on-field performance.

“I make sure the administrative side of the club is solid so the team can perform at its best,” he added.

Kamara highlighted that under his leadership, the club ended a 22-year trophy drought by winning the FAMSO Trophy. He credited effective coordination in areas such as player registration, travel logistics, match documentation, and communication with FAMSO officials.

“That victory was not just for the players; it restored pride across the entire community,” he noted.

He further stated that the current administration has significantly improved the club’s structure over the past two seasons. These improvements include a centralized player database, proper financial records, organized match reports, and documented meetings, all of which have reduced administrative challenges and allowed greater focus on football.

Kamara also emphasized the strengthening of the club-community relationship, noting improved communication between executives, coaches, players, and supporters.

“Match updates, fixtures, and club decisions now reach the community faster, resulting in better turnout and stronger support on match days,” he said.

Describing his leadership style as organized, transparent, and accountable, Kamara stressed the importance of unity between the administration and the community.

“We are working hand in hand with the community to achieve positive results in every match,” he said, adding that improved relationships between players and coaches have helped foster a winning mentality.

Looking ahead, Kamara made it clear that his vision goes beyond a single trophy.

“I’m not here for just one trophy, I’m here to build a winning culture for Kossoh Tong,” he stated.

He expressed hope of sustaining the club’s recent success and building a lasting legacy for future administrations.

“We aim to create a strong platform for the next generation to compete for more league titles in inter-community competitions,” he added.

Kamara also pointed to ongoing improvements in professionalism, including efforts to secure medical support, introduce basic performance data tracking, and enhance training facilities.

He noted that the administration has made progress toward financial stability by attracting sponsors and partners, further strengthening the club’s foundation.

In conclusion, Kamara said the club is proud of its recent achievement of winning the FAMSO Trophy after 22 years and remains committed to building on that success.

“We are working together as a team to bring home more trophies, build stronger structures, and create a club the entire Kossoh Tong community can be proud of in the coming seasons,” he concluded.
