Tug Of War, Kabadi And Mass Wrestling Association Officially Launched

The Sierra Leone Tug Of War, Mass Wrestling and the Sierra Leone Kabadi Association over the weekend did an official Launching of the three associations and undertook grading demonstrations at the Aberdeen Beach in Freetown. According to the president of the Kabadi Association Sonny Johnson who also doubles as the Technical Director and coach for the three sports, the grading demonstration was not only to assess their athletes ahead of their forthcoming competitions but to also create awareness for the general public to know that three sports exist in the country. He went on that the athletes will be participating in the Tug of War championship slated to take place in Ireland on the 18th -20th November 2023.

For the Mass Wrestling he said the athletes are schedule to take part in the upcoming USA Championship schedule for the 2nd -5th November 2023. Also present at the ceremony were the Director of Sports Haroun Korjie, Steven Kelfala NSA Director of Participation, Noel K Horton President of Mass Wrestling Association, Dauda Solomon Conteh Chairman for Sierra Leone Sports Committee.
