FANTS SL Targets 2,000 Children For COVID 19 Help

Football for New Tomorrow (FANTS SL) a branch of an INGO based in Denmark has targeted 2,000 children in ten communities as their own help to the government to stop the spread of the Coronavirus in the country.

According to them, they have sourced fund from Denmark to help feed and sensitize vulnerable children in ten communities.

Among the ten communities, eight are in Freetown and two in the provinces. They donated 18 bags of rice, 1 bag of onion, one cartoon Maggi cubes, five sets of Veronica buckets and 200 face Masks to each communities.

According to the FANTS SL members, apart from the donation they will frequently monitor the welfare of the children and will take care of anyone that is sick.

They started the distribution on Tuesday at the Aberdeen community and will continue with the others. Apart from the above gestures, the above communities have before benefited several sports equipment and education materials from the organization. Coaches at FANTS have also helped several times to train the community football, Handball and Volleyball teams.
