The Parliament of Sierra Leone has probed several mining companies, including CTC Mining and Marampa Mines Ltd Group.
The Chairman of Mines Committee Hon Emerson Lamina, ordered the Chairman of CTC Mining Company to submit all the names of subcontractors, including their address and contact details.
Hon Lamina made this statement this past Tuesday, 2nd June, when the committee summoned CTC Mining Company and Marampa Mines Limited, but Marampa Mines failed to attend the meeting.
He said that Marampa Mines Limited (MML) should answer many questions to the committee for violating sections 95 and 96 of the 1991 constitution.
On another development, the Chairman of the Committee on Mines and Mineral Resources Hon Emerson Lamina, said that his alma mater, which is the Magburuka Boys School (MOBA) at Magburuka in Tonkolili district, has been suffering from a bad contractor in the name of Thomas Daddy Brima.
He said that Former Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Daddy Brima is supposed to construct Twenty Classrooms, which should have been completed in 2023, but the work has been stuck at wall height for three years now.
