Members of the Global Leadership Summit Sierra Leone joined their counterpart world over in the 2020 Global Leadership Summit. This year, delegates were obliged to be part of the summit, which started on Thursday 6th August 2020, in the comfort of their home countries due to global Covid 19 Pandemic. Over the years, Sierra Leone has been sending delegates to the United States of America as delegates to the Summit.
Rev Christiana Sutton-Koroma, the National Coordinator lamented that it is a sad feeling not physically being part of the international summit. The interaction and experience sharing with other nations is missing. More important is that we have missed out this year in the relation building.
The Global Leadership Summit was founded in the USA in 1992 and is annually held in 136 countries and in 60 languages. The Sierra Leone Event Manager Donald Theo-Harding who was present at the life streaming of this year’s summit from Chicago said even though they were prepared for the life streaming they had a lot of challenges with the network. He expressed hope that the Covid 19 would have ended by September, a time when Sierra Leone hosts its own GLS.
The Global Leadership Summit will end today Friday 7th August 2020.
