Centre for Tourism and Cultural Activities Sierra Leone (CTCASL) in collaboration with Labelle Gara Fashion trained women and girls in Gara Tie Dying in order to empower and improve their skill work.

The Chairperson for CTCASL, Andrew Fortune Bassie said that women empowerment is key to societies growth and sustainable development.

In her statement, the CEO of Labelle Gara Fashion, Assanatu Labelle Sillah who was the tutor during the one-month Gara Tie Dying training course encouraged the young women and girls to use their acquired skills to empower themselves and promote the different communities they are coming from.

She maintained that as one of the leading tourism organisations in Sierra Leone they saw the need to support women and girls in different communities to bridge the gap between women and men.

Madam Sillah called on the women and girls to use the opportunity to change their lives and be more entrepreneurship drive.
