The Kingtom Football Association (KFA) Inter-Community League ended on Wednesday with Congo Town Community defeating the host community, Kingtom, 1–0 at full time.
Congo Town scored the only goal through Amanki Toronka in the first half and maintained the lead until the final whistle.
In the semi-final matches, Kingtom defeated their neighbouring community, Kroo Bay, on penalty kicks, while Congo Town defeated New England Ville 2–1 to reach the final.
At the end of the final match, Congo Town players were presented with gold medals and the championship trophy, while Kingtom players received silver medals and the runner-up trophy.
The organizers also distributed individual trophies and certificates to deserving players, coaches, and officials.
The league was the fourth Inter-Community competition organized by KFA. The first was the Mercury Online Betting Trophy, the second the Sanusi Bruski Trophy, followed by another edition before the Jagaban Trophy in the 2025/2026 season.
At the end of the match, KFA Chairman Costelo thanked fans of the participating communities for ensuring a peaceful tournament. He assured them that the next league would be more competitive and entertaining.
