Former Chairlady Aminata Mansaray of All Peoples Congress Party (APC), Constituency 120, PWD, Kissy has disappeared after general elections in Sierra Leone, and her whereabouts is still not known.
A friend of Aminata said that after the election results were announced, there was a court matter between current ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Member of Parliament and that of the All Peoples Congress Party (APC) of which Aminata was an ardent member. She was part of the team following the APC Member of Parliament to court regularly.
It could be recalled that there was a Petitioner herein, Tennison Hindolo Sandy, was a Parliamentary Candidate for the Sierra Leone People’s Party who filed Petition against Honourable Momoh Kamara of the All People’s Congress. The Petitioner herein avers that the respondent herein had not resigned from his job in the requisite time as stipulated in the Public Election Act 2012, as the 1st Respondent was the Principle and Proprietor of the Grace Community High School, Moyiba, Kissy, Freetown and even in November 2017 he was receiving salary from the Consolidated Fund thereof .
However, during one of the court proceedings in 2019 there was a serious conflict between members of both parties. aminata was spotted among the conflicting crowd. The police were informed about the chaos incidence. In that clash, one of her school days friend called Kadija a member of the ruling SLPP pointed out to Aminata that she is a vibrant member of the APC and also a lesbian. Kadija stated that Aminata has been a lesbian from school days. She went on to say Aminata was even rusticated from school because she was involved in that illegal act of lesbianism with a schoolmate called Alberta.
Chairlady Aminata learnt that Kadija has informed the police that she is a lesbian. So she was seen running away from the crowd for fear of being arrested. Due to political interference she was declared wanted.
The law states that same-sex bi-sexual activity is illegal under Section 61 of the Offences against the Person Act 1861, and imprisonment for life is possible. That is any one arrested and charged to court and found guilty for acts related to lesbianism, will face life imprisonment with hard labour.
In Sierra Leone lesbian activities are not only illegal but people caught in it are being mobbed to death even before they are reported to the authorities.
According to credible sources, what came out clear during an investigation by this medium is that the ruling party women promised to hunt her down for the police. They even vow whenever they see at her residence or get intelligence about her whereabouts to get her arrested.
Since Aminata disappeared, they have not seen her, she is still at large and the police & ruling party members are still searching for her.
